TransAC: Establishing a Danube training academy as measure against brain drain from rural and crisis regions.
TransAC is a transnational initiative addressing brain drain and social stress in seven rural and crisis-affected regions across Europe. The project’s core objective is to create new opportunities for young and vulnerable learners through innovative training in additive manufacturing, a field with strong economic potential.
By establishing pilot training centers and a Training Academy, TransAC will deliver cutting-edge, inclusive education using virtual labs, FabLabs, and micro-credentials. The project will directly support learners from groups, including school children, university students, and vulnerable individuals such as the unemployed and workers in transition industries.
Key results include:
- A network of co-created training services tailored to regional labor market needs.
- A sustainable Training Academy model for long-term impact.
- Strengthened collaboration between education, industry, and policy sectors.
- Enhanced regional attractiveness for living, learning, and working.
TransAC’s innovative, cross-border approach ensures that no region is left behind—building resilience and opportunity across the Danube region.
