BioFairNet: Bioeconomy and Circular Economy Fair Network
The Bioeconomy and Circular Economy Fair Network (BioFairNet) aims to support hotspots and specific value chains that are heavily dependent on greenhouse gas-intensive industries in developing a sustainable circular bioeconomy through a digital collaborative network. The network, understood as a digital platform and stakeholder engagement, captures, informs, transfers knowledge and provides a communication exchange between stakeholders to support their ecological transition. The final product will be created in collaboration with key stakeholders to bridge the gap between experts, public administration, businesses and other stakeholders. The project dives deep into two sectors - agriculture and mining - using a co-creation process to describe current practice, imagine in practical, social and economic terms what these sectors will look like post-transition, and then map a pathway to get there. The insights and tools needed to support this pathway will be translated into a web-based Circular Transition Tool that will be developed and implemented together with end-users.
